Zig Ziglar said it so many times it became his signature: you can have everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want. It is the same truth Jim Rohn carried, and it is the backbone of how I think about sales to this day.

Serve First

When your real goal is to help the other person win, to get them the solution they need and fix the problem they have, something shifts in how you carry yourself. You stop coming across as desperate and start coming across as useful. That is exactly when the trust, and the sales, start showing up.

Attitude Decides Altitude

Ziglar also drilled in that your attitude determines your altitude. Show up genuinely believing in your product and in the prospect’s success, and you will run circles around the people who show up full of doubt or leaning on pressure.
